Whenever goods are moved from a hot climate to a cooler
climate, condensation will occur because warm air holds
more water than cold air. When the temperature inside the
container/box is lowered the air will reach the dew point
and the water will condense. This is when fungus, mould
and mildew occurs, damaging the goods. Worse yet, if the
water condenses on the surface of metal products corrosion
occurs.

Superdry SAC is a one-time use environmentally friendly
food-grade product that actively reduces the humidity
inside the box or pallet.

Silica Gel absorbs moisture physically by trapping the
moisture inside its capillaries with a theoretical maximum
capacity 30% of its own weight (temp. below 24 deg. c and
RH above 60%)

Superdry SAC absorbs moisture and converts the resultant
mixture to a gel. It absorbs 130% of its dry weight. For
example, inside a hermetically sealed box of 1 cubic meter
at 30 deg.c and 80% RH there are 27.5 grams of moisture. To
absorb all the moisture inside the box, 85 grams of high
quality silica gel are required but only 20 grams of
Superdry SAC are required. Superdry SAC provides a highly
efficient cost-effective solution to your moisture
problems.

It should be noted that self-indicating silica Gel uses
cobalt chloride, which is a cancer causing substance
(European Commission Directive 98/98/Ec-amendment to
67/548/EEC) and with inadequate protective equipment during
handling, inhalation of Silica dust could lead to
silicosis.

On the contrary, Superdry SAC is a non-toxic-recyclable
product using only food grade materials and is harmless and
environmentally friendly.

The units come in sizes 1 g and 2 g, and constructed from
tyvek that ensure that the units are leak-proof.

The one-way Tyvek material allows absorption then prevents
the absorbed liquid from leaking.

The active ingredients, CaCl2 and Amyl pectin Polymer, on
absorbing moisture from the surrounding environment turn to
a gel. Thereby totally eliminating any potential for
leakage.
