DTC's are codes that are stored by the car's in-board
computer system in response to a vehicle issue. Codes
relate to a particular problem and are made up of a 5
digit alpha-numeric sequence and are used as a guide to
help locate the fault in order for you to fix the vehicle.

This scanner reads and erases all DTC codes of the engine,
airbag, ABS and A/T and turns off the MIL lights of the
engine, airbags, ABS and automatic transmission.

Will the MaxScan 405 work with my car?
This reader works with the majority of OBD 2, EOBD and
CAN-BUS vehicles manufactured worldwide including the
following: Acura, KIA, Asuna, Land Rover, Audi, Lexus,
Bentley, Lincoln, Buick, Mazda, Cadillac, Mercury,
Chevrolet, Mini, Chevy, Murkur, Chrysler, Nissan,
Citroen, Oldsmobile, Daewoo, Opel, Dodge, Peugeot,
Eagle, Plymouth, Fiat, Pontiac,Ford, Porsche, Geo,
Renault, GM, Rover, GMC, Saab, Honda, Saturn, Hummer,
Scion, Hyundai, Infinity, Isuzu, Jaguar, Jeep plus VAG
vehicles such as: Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda
vehicles manufactured since 1990. Even with newer models
that require a direct CAN connection.

If your car has a 16 pin "OBD style" data link connector
(DTC) the code reader is compatible, however if it has an
older-style 2 x 2 DTC then it will depend whether there
are 3 or 4 wires connecting to the pins. If there are 4
wires then the scanner will work but if there are only 3
wires, leaving one pin disconnected, then, sorry, but
this product will not work.

If your vehicle is the 2 x 2 DTC 4 wire style you will
need a 2 x 2 cable adapter. (Not included in this sale)
